Please follow the steps below and complete deactivation on the previous machine.

Our development team monitors the forums and they will be the ones to respond to technical issues for the customer. To post problems or questions they can select the Forums Tab at the top if our homepage and then select the appropriate forum for their components, then click on “New Post”. Although I can uninstall the software, the machine is not currently connected to the internet or my proxy settings do not allow programs to automatically connect to the Internet, so the uninstallations may not notify your activation servers. How do I properly uninstall the software in this case?
If your computer is not connected to the internet or your proxy settings prevent running programs to automatically connect to external sources, our activation servers may not automatically be notified when the software is uninstalled. If this is the case, please uninstall the software using Add/Remove Programs and then submit the following information to security@softwarefx.com:
- Serial Number
- Public IP address
- Original computer make and model
- Attach InstallFX.log file. This file is located on:
Windows 7 and Windows Vista: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\installfx.log Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temp\installafx.log
Please make sure the option "Show Hidden Files or Folders" is enabled since both LocalSettings and AppData are hidden folders.

Once you submit the uninstallation details required above, please allow up to 24 business hours for the activation records to be adjusted accordingly.

Please take me through exactly what happened and when it happened on the problem computer. In your reply, please include:
1. Version of Windows
2. Hardware specifications of the affected system
3. List of additional security software installed and running at the time of the stop error
4. Can the customer start the problem computer in Safe Mode? Other mode?
5. Please request the following information from the customer:
* C:\Windows\rvs3.log
* C:\Windows\rvs3-inst.log
* MSINFO32 or MSINFO64 report**
**Click START > RUN > Type MSINFO32 or MSINFO64 as appropriate. On the System Information screen click FILE > Export and then save the file where you can find it to attach to your reply.

1. Version of Windows
2. Hardware specifications of the affected system
3. List of additional security software installed and running at the time of the stop error
4. Can the customer start the problem computer in Safe Mode? Other mode?
5. Please request the following information from the customer:
* C:\Windows\rvs3.log
* C:\Windows\rvs3-inst.log
* MSINFO32 or MSINFO64 report**
**Click START > RUN > Type MSINFO32 or MSINFO64 as appropriate. On the System Information screen click FILE > Export and then save the file where you can find it to attach to your reply.

Spyware Doctor

Please complete the following to manually update Spyware Doctor .
1. Download the update tool from http://www.pctools.com/mirror/SDDB6.0.1.exe
2. When prompted please Save the file to your Desktop
3. Once the download is complete, run SDDB6.0.1.exe
4. Follow the prompts to download the database
5. Once the download is complete, you should find a Databases folder on your desktop
Please Note* If you are transferring the database from one computer to another, you are required to transfer the Databases folder to the computer you wish to apply the updates on
In your case I would believe you would copy this Database folder on USB and distribute it among your Administrators or share the updates over your network.
6. Ensure that you have fully exited the application. To fully exit from Spyware Doctor please right click on the Spyware Doctor icon in the notification area (next to the clock on the Windows taskbar) and select Shutdown from the menu that appears.
7. Browse the Databases folder and run the DBTransfer file, this file will apply the updates to Spyware Doctor.
8. Launch Spyware Doctor again, you should now be up to date.

Hello,
This week we unfortunately had to change a long standing policy. Effective April 24, 2012, we will no longer reset or transfer licenses for customers who do not have current SUM.
Fortunately, for the vast majority of our customers, this will not present the slightest problem.
It's better for everyone if the customer stays current with SUM so long as they continue to use the software. We expect to do that with commercial software licenses we use in-house. And, it's going to be terribly awkward to "be strong" for some, and not for others.
If this puts you in a difficult situation, please let us know how we can help.
